Cranberry Cupcakes and Celebrations!

A few weekends ago, I had a couple of orders to complete, with some great flavours.

These cupcakes turned out really, really well and were a great fusion of flavours. Cranberry cupcakes with Organic Local Leawood honey with Pomegranate frosting. The cupcakes were decorated in two styles so that they were visually even more interesting.

The second order completed was a Coconut sponge Cake with Lemon Curd filling and Lemon Frosting. The birthday was being celebrated by the birthday girl whose favourite colour is bright blue and loves coconut, and the birthday boy who loves lemon. So voila - Coconut Lemon Cake!

Pink Princess Party!

To truly celebrate her birthday, Sienna had her party yesterday. The first part of the day was dedicated to all things Princess. There was a Sweets bar, with all things pink. We sang happy birthday over Red Velvet cupcakes topped with Pomegranate Frosting, again with the custom-made number "5" cupcake toppers.

Dessert Bar with custom made Chocolate Bars and Sugar Cookies

 Apricot Delight Pops

Dress-up Bar with Princess Fairy Wands, Tiaras, Princess rings and Princess Skirts

Pom-Pom Princess Land with Pink Cupcake Sashes on each Guest Chair

The Birthday girl and guests played many games and also did a great beading activity with Gloria from Coco and Chloe. This was one of the highlights. Contact her at www.cocoandchloe.com.au to have your own beading activity. The best part is that all the girls get to take home their wonderful and unique necklace creation.

Later, Sienna and her family celebrated with a tiered Pink Princess crown. Sienna requested lots of Pink on the inside and lots of colour on the outside. So Voila...Princess Rainbow Cake!

Pomegranate Frosting covers moist Pink Pomegranate layer cake with strawberry Jam and cream in between. A little hard to see are the Crown Candle holders with multi-coloured French Beeswax candles. The perfect touch to a Princess Cake. The cake is so moist and full of fresh delicate flavour.

We all had a great Pink Princess day.

My Princess is Five!

My Daughter Sienna turned 5 on Monday. She requested a cake with three flavours - Chocolate, Vanilla and Strawberry. So Neopolitan it was. Between each layer was strawberry flavoured fresh cream, with Strawberry infused frosting.

She celebrated her birthday at kinder with Red Velvet cupcakes and Dutch Chocolate frosting. I handmade the number "5" cupcakes toppers in her favourite colour of Pink!

Cupcakes, Cupcakes and more cupcakes!

Baking Passion is so much fun. I have developed some recipes recently and these are the product.

Ginger Spice Apple Cupcakes with Applesauce Cream Cheese Frosting. The Sugar Butterflies were added in purple to suit the birthday girl's favourite colour!

Mocha Cupcakes with Coffee infused Cream Cheese frosting topped with a chocolate covered Coffee Bean.

Chocolate Cupcakes with Raspberry Mousse filling and Vanilla Cream Cheese Frosting, and Vanilla cupcakes with Caramel Mousse filling and Vanilla Navy Cream Cheese Frosting. The Cupcake toppers were part of a Birthday celebration for  huge Geelong Fan. Sparkle Glitter was added to the toppers to shine on the night.

Cars Second Birthday Event

This was so much fun. The birthday boy turned two and is really in love with anything cars. This became the inspiration for the colours and of course the cake. There was quite a lot of planning but the event turned out perfectly.

There were three main areas. All the small and "big" part guests started at the Dress-up bar. Balloon wands, party hats and car badges were available for the guests to get into the Cars spirit.

The real party zone was based around the centre of the room. Each party guest had a super-cute blue and white striped paper straw, a car placement with the birthday boy's initial "A". The tables were covered in blue cloth which really set the room into party spirit.

Each guest's chair was decorated with brilliant blue tissue pom poms. This really tied the whole room together. Around the whole room was hand-made cars bunting. There was alternating Pixar Cars flags, followed by sunny yellow. Hanging through the centre of the room was both honey-comb and tissue pom-poms. What a party!

The best action, of course, was the Sweets Bar. There were Crackle Choc-tops, Truffle pops, and lots and lots of other yummy treats. To add healthy treats, I added a three-tiered Cake stand filled with strawberries, cherries and the birthday boys favourite - raspberries.

Finally the centre of attention - The Cars Birthday Cake! I made a chocolate Buttermilk Cake. Since the birthday boy loves raspberries, I though the perfect filling would be raspberry creme. I love the contrast of the chocolate cake with the beautiful pink raspberry creme. And so tasty!
